Bars and Nightclubs in Ocho Rios
Nightlife in Ocho Rios is slightly different from the rest of Jamaica. Most of the crowd here are visitors from cruise ships that dock at the port during the daytime. However, that does not stop the bars and nightclubs in the vicinity from being happening spots to spend the night with friends and family. Home of the legendary reggae artist Bob Marley, Jamaica is the land that evokes pictures of people enjoying music and dance on the sandy beaches and in the bars and nightclubs.
As the night falls, Ocho Rios or “Ochi“ comes alive with the sound of reggae music and soca dancing. Most of the bars and nightclubs are situated within the various all-inclusive resorts, with the best of the local talent performing either indoors or on the beaches. One such club is the Jamaica’N Me Crazy within the Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort & Spa. As most of the travelers’ reviews would agree, the music here is great but it is difficult to gain access inside, as the crowd is usually restricted to the resort guests and some visitors.
There are a few bars and nightclubs in Ocho Rios that are not part of any resort and are run by individuals like the Margaritaville Caribbean Bar & Grill, with branches in Ochi and MoBay. A favorite hang out for most partygoers, it is one place where guests can enjoy the evening with the whole family. Amnesia is another place where guests can, as the name suggests, forget everything and let their hair down. After a hard night of partying at the bars and nightclubs, most of the visitors will agree that it’s difficult to forget the pulsating music and flashing lights of the nightspots in Ocho Rios.
