It’s distressingly simple to spoil even the best digital brochure, even if you’ve put all your effort into it, if you have a bad choice of electronic brochure package. When you’ve chosen to produce an online catalog the essential decision is to select your software vendor. And they do a lot more than merely give advice on putting the content into a pleasant format.

Ease of operation is an essential part of the package to look out for. The software package could be the most extraordinary you’ve seen – but without being able to actually use it, it’s worth nothing to you! Before choosing a provider for the electronic magazine, take time to try different packages out.

Because hacking and spamming is an online issue, security measures should be your second consideration as you’re making a digital edition. Do you know how the account has been protected? Can the content be secured? Does the package supplier have security measures which stops individuals copy-pasting your subject?

Once you’ve produced an interactive brochure you should make a business plan. No matter what model you choose you should consider what role networking media will play. Having content co-operative with search engines is also essential as you consider marketing this ezine.

When you create digital publications, you’ll have to deal with back editions. What will the accessibility of this brochure be? If it’ll be widely accessible, you’ll need to host it directly with the vendor. Teasers and summaries are a great idea for promotion for your business. Lastly, in selecting a flash software provider try to choose one that offers easy technical help. How customer-oriented are they? Quick emergency response time is now your concern. What are the FAQ pages like? Maybe this seems minor, however in the event that something goes horribly wrong, you’ll be relieved you considered this early on.

Your skills are being tried – select cautiously! When creating your publication, your quality of vendor can determine its success.

Producing an electronic magazine requires a lot of creativity, so you wouldn't want to spoil all that by picking an inferior digital publishing software package.

To make digital publications requires a lot of creativity, so you wouldn’t want to spoil all the work by picking an inferior online publishing software package. The essential part of making an online newspaper is selecting the software supplier you’ll use. Setting the format for the message is simply a small section of what they do.

Visit and review this excellent webpage for interactive collateral management tips.

The main feature to look for is, obviously, simplicity of use. If you can’t make the software run it doesn’t make a difference how good it is hyped to be… Before selecting a provider for the electronic magazine, make sure to try it out. As hacking and spamming are online issues, protection should be another main consideration as you’re making an online publication. Is the endeavour protected? How about the content? What does the digital publishing software provider have in place which stops people copying and pasting the content? Once you’ve created a flash magazine that’s the point to make up a business plan. Social-media, ads, these are things which ought to be covered irrespective of which business plan you’re using. Modern marketing means thinking about search engine necessities as you edit content.

Is your content only going to be offered for free? You could think whether you can offer a variety of subscription choices. The nature of your content, as well – is it monetized in any way or is this venture not-for-profit? Will you be using teasers to sell the ebrochure? How available is the magazine? Will it be private — in which case you can investigate several hosting possibilities or is it public? You will probably be better hosting directly. And what will you be doing with back-isues?

Before it actually becomes necessary, ypu’ll need to think about some more things. Specifically, technical support. Check out their online FAQ page. Do they have useful “fix-it” tips which you’ll be able to actually follow? If their response time isn’t mentioned you should ask questions. Try calling their hotline to test it out. This is definitely a case of last not least consideration. Because you really don’t want to discover the hard way that they’re actually attempting to cut corners to your detriment here. Only stickling decision-making is rewarded with high achievement. Lacking the correct host the magazine will not succeed half so well.

The most important decision to take when you're producing an ebrochure is picking out your software provider. They do so much more than simply give guidance on putting the content into some pleasant format.

A low standard online publishing software package can break even the most imaginative online publication. Once you’ve chosen to make an online magazine the essential next call is to select your software vendor. And be aware that they don’t only give advice on putting the content into a pleasant format.

Ease of operation is the main thing you want from your chosen software. The software package could be the most impressive you’ve seen – but if you can’t use it, it isn’t worth anything! The ezine you’re creating should matter enough to you for you to test out several providers.

In creating an online brochure you should also be aware of the problems posed by spammers and hackers. Do you know how your account has been secured? Will the content be protected? Can individuals just copy and paste the brochure content or has the software supplier anything in place peventing these things? Is the content secure?

Have you made a strategy to market your flash brochure yet? Whatever marketing strategy you go for, you should think about such things – possibly not for each publication but instead for your business as a whole. What use are you making of non-traditional media? What thought has been given to dealing with ads? Advertising the ezine will likely need search engine optimized content. Does it allow for mixing free and paid content? How about offering single copy and several possibilities for subscription? Will you be monetizing the content in any way? What about providing summaries and teasers to sell this ebrochure? What’s the availability of the ezine? Will it be private: in which case you should be able to look into many hosting options or will it be public? In that case you should probably host directly. And what will you do about back-isues?

Finally, in picking out a flash software host attempt to choose one offering easy technical support. Do they offer emergency only technical support? How long will tech-support response time be? Examine whatever how-to sections they have. These things might seem minor now, however should there be an emergency, you’ll be glad you considered this ahead of time. Your skills are being tested – make your decision with utmost care! If your brochure does well is totally dependent on your choice in vendor.

Producing an ebrochure needs a lot of creativity, so you wouldn’t want to spoil all that with the wrong digital publishing software package. In fact, picking out a software provider is the key part of producing an ebrochure. Formatting the message is merely a little part of what they do.

Amongst the potential features, simple usability is the main one. If you can’t make the software run it doesn’t make any difference how good it is being touted to be… Take the time to dry run different packages before you pick a provider for your ebrochure. In making an ebrochure you also have to be aware of the menace posed by spammers and hackers. What security is placed to ensure security on the account? Which protective measures have been taken by the online publishing software package seller to keep people copying and pasting the words? The marketing plan should be put together to properly market your online magazine. Whatever your marketing plan may look like, you will should think about such matters, perhaps not for every publication but instead for the company overall. What use are you making of modern media? How are you treating ads? Contemporary marketing means thinking about search engine demands when editing your content. When you create digital publications, you’ll be dealing with back editions. What will the availability of your publication be? Hosting directly with the supplier certainly is the most sensible option if it’s going to be widely available. Will teasers or content summaries be shared to publicize the online newspaper? Tech-support is a huge consideration in the selection of vendor. How can you contact them? What is their response time like? Do they have a good set of FAQs available? These things might seem unimportant now, but in the event that something goes horribly wrong, you’ll be relieved you thought about this early on.

Only meticulous choice will garner success. When making your newsletter, your quality of host will be what decides its overall success.

Recently I heard in an interview on the radio that Gabriel Garcia Marquez had “stopped” writing. Had he lost his “drive?”
They say that in literature, everything has already been said. The only way to differentiate is on style; in the way you express it.

In areas like business, family, article writing…, well look at all the available categories here on ezinearticles, there is still enough to write about. Even though this is not literature, style still matters.

Finding your own style is important. There is probably no standard method in achieving this. It should be your own expedition.

But to give an example you could focus on colours. Like the colours that identify a painting. Or the symbolic colours that express meaning. Take red for example. The colour of the heart, emotion and action! But one colour will never do. Your style is always more complex. So add blue, like the rational opponent. Is either of them dominating? Do you think and analyse before you write? Do you make a plan? Are you adding the last detail and have someone else read your article before you submit it?

You can also observe your biography. What have you done with your life so far? Another way is to check your most favourite author. What is his or her style? You can check the style of your organization. Do you agree with it?

Once you have found your style, it will boost your production. Why should that be?

That is, because style is like a (personal) drive… Style gives direction. It might not be totally without conflicts but the internal conflicts are balanced. Like the red and the blue. Mixed into a new colour. Part of your identity.

If you can trust on your style, you can trust that you will be able to continue writing. There is a story to tell about every detail. You can make it special.

So maybe Marquez does know what to write about, but he may have lost his drive. Is that a conflict at his age?

Who knows, that first Publishing deal may not be that far off, after all. The recently launched Macmillan New Writer Scheme may be your best opportunity yet to make it big in the publishing world.

Since the project was launched in February, Macmillan has been receiving 200 manuscripts a month. And in April next year, six novels will be published and one or two will be released each month.

The Macmillan New Writing scheme, though, is not without its critics. A number of online content providers have blasted the scheme as a “scam”. The Guardian newspaper’s Arts Correspondent, Charlotte Higgans (www.guardian.co.uk) branded the scheme “the Ryanair of publishing; it’s like having to pay for your own uniforms”. Natasha Fairweather, an agent, calls it “an exercise in futility”. In contrast, Michael Bernard, Macmillan executive director, describes the scheme as “a way of giving a voice to talented new authors”.

There’s no doubt, though, Macmillan’s New Writer Scheme is a departure from mainstream publishing. For example, if Macmillan decides to accept a novel for its list, the terms are nonnegotiable; no advance will be paid, however, writers willreceive 20% royalties from sales.

Here’s the deal: if accepted, MacMillan will copy edit books, but if manuscripts need more detailed work, they will suggest that writers employ freelance editors. Even then, this does not guarantee publication.

Barnard says, “This is about Macmillan finding new authors. Like a lot of mainstream publishers we haven’t in recent years been accepting unsolicitedmanuscripts, but only ones sent through agents. And we are not discovering as manyauthors as we need.”

“There are literally tens of thousands of writers out there – and we have a responsibility to help them. We can’t do that by paying a half million advance to every author.”

According to Barnard, the books will appear in the main Pan Macmillan catalogue and would be “very posh books” with ribbon markers, sold at £15. He expected them to become “collectors’ items”.

Scott Pack, of Waterstones, welcomes the initiative. “I think it’s a fantastic idea,” he said. “When books are presented to me by publishers they prioritise the ones to which they have given large advances. But the bestsellers are notnecessarily the ones that have had big advances. This creates a level playing field.”

Pack believes the scheme could be great for spotting new talent, and points to examples of self-published books that found success not going the route of conventional publishing.

We think if you’ve spent years working on your novel with no success in finding an agent, then Macmillan’s New Writing Scheme may well bring you the success you’ve been waiting for.

Pros: Once in a lifetime opportunity 20% of Royalties from Sales Creates level playing field for new talent

Cons: MacMillan will acquire all rights to new manuscripts No Advance Paid Possibility sharing of editing costs Less control

More detail about MacMillan New Writing can be found here.

Don’t just rush in and start writing! Do your research and plan first. Who is your target market and what do you want to tell them? The style of writing you adopt must match your audience.

e.g. if you are writing a business article the style needs to be more formal and professional whereas an article on organizing a child’s birthday party needs to be informal and full of fun.

Creating articles is easy, simply follow these guidelines:

Headlines

Although headlines / titles are the first thing that your reader will see, I usually complete the headline after completing the rest of the article. I do this because it gives me a better chance of ensuring that the headline is consistent with the content.

Your headline can make or break your article. A good headline should captivate your reader’s imagination and compel them to read the rest of the article.

Formats similar to the following generally work well:

7 Winning Tips To …

5 Ways To …

7 Reasons Why …

Discover 5 Secrets …

Body Content

Your article content should start with a short, but interesting opening paragraph that invites the reader to read more about your headline / title statement.

The body should be broken down into small easy to read paragraphs, preferably in point / step form.

e.g. step #1, tip#1 etc.

People love to read about tips and it is much easier to write articles in this format. You can also turn each tip into sub-headings. This makes it very easy for the reader to quickly see what your article is all about and if it is of interest to them.

Concluding Paragraph

End your article with a concluding paragraph that summarizes the points covered and emphasizes the “promise” contained in your headline.

Resource Box

Resource Boxes must contain a “call to action” that compels your reader to immediately click on your link. A good idea is to offer a free e-book or mini-course related to the article. DO NOT make your resource box look like an ad!

I strongly recommend that you have a look at how other people are writing their articles. Go to various article directories and look for popular articles (been read at least a thousand times). See how they have structured their articles in terms of headlines, content and resource boxes.

Press Releases

These are similar in principle to article submission but use a different format and are submitted via special press release sites. Some article directories also offer a press release facility.

Most press releases require a payment ($30 to $200). Although you can get some free submissions, they are not as effective as the paid ones. If you can afford the cost, substantial traffic can be generated in this way.

The whole process is very straightforward if you simply follow the on screen instructions. To get a feel for the style and format used for press releases, visit some press release sites and take a look at some of the published press releases. Most sites also have a lot of online help for people new to press releases.

A good idea is to get some help in the form of step by step instructions and coaching videos designed specifically for newbies.

A wise person, or maybe just another newly rich Malibu recluse, once said: “Living well is the best revenge”

That’s not a bad idea, but if you’re a creative sort, you can just as easily assert: “Writing well is the best revenge.”

I am a strong believer in turning lemons into lemonade, but if you don’t have the sweetness for it, you can fill your pen with the acrid juice and shoot it directly at the objects of your disdain.

For example, I ate in a restaurant a few weeks ago that offered decent food but indecent excuses about the creatures that were crawling in it.

Having summoned the manager to the table, I got no satisfaction from pointing to the critters, so I wrote an article about the episode that has been published in multiple places.

Will it discourage some people from frequenting the joint? Perhaps.

Also, I sent a copy to the president of the company, and received no reply, which tells me he’s hoping the health department doesn’t get a copy.

Anyway, I took my disgust and WROTE IT OUT OF MY SYSTEM.

And this is what I suggest to you.

Whenever you feel abused, misused, or unduly and unjustly disappointed, write about it; and the sooner the better!

This will accomplish several things:

(1)	You’ll tell the offender he transgressed, putting him on notice that he’s being observed.

(2)	You’ll see that your feelings are justified. By marshalling your points in writing, you’ll come to the conclusion that there’s merit in your message.

(3)	You’ll potentially remediate the situation, so fewer suffer in the future.

(4)	You’ll purge your system of your negative emotions.

(5)	You’ll probably emerge with an article or something you can use more widely and more profitably.

Teddy Roosevelt said “Speak softly and carry a big stick.”

Writers should modify this to say: “Write loudly, and carry a mighty pen!”

Have you ever considered why people dislike writers? Well it is because these writers so often spout off about something they know nothing about. It is so often that writers write because they do not do. You know until I accidentally became a writer, I never liked them much anyway. Now I is one, or am becoming one and see both perspectives.

Recently a Ms Lawrence has stated in a round about way that she believes that online article submission websites are a negative thing. She believes that online article amateur writers prevent professional writers from getting work. Perhaps she believes that only writers should be allowed to write.

Well that is an interesting thought, you see I am not a writer yet but I am the author of this article you are now reading and I will tell you why people do not often like writers, because they so often attack things that they have no clue about in a persnickety way. Why is it that me, as an accidental author of online articles detracts from the professional writers? What is a matter are you not good enough to compete? Why not?

I have always been at the top of my field why should you get a free ride? Dear detractors of online article submission sites, you have used your pen once against as a sword and this time in your sound and fury you have attacked what I stand for, so be it, I too have a word processor and keyboard; how do you like me now?

Attention all online article authors; we must unite in a common cause and we must declare victory and we must destroy the enemy. We must go all the way, it is fair for all concerned and it is the right thing to do and the Write way to do it. Online article submission venue must not allow detraction from the destiny that awaits! NFP No Friggin Prisoners; A war of Words; well bring it on! Consider this in 2006.

Condolence Letters are typically written after someone has died and are some of the most difficult and awkward letters to write. The best advice in writing these letters is to empathize with your reader. Relate a story to them that shares some similar personal experience. Do not tell them that “…things could be worse.” Recognize the pain with the understanding that grief is a stage in the healing process. Follow up with an unannounced call or letter 10 days to two weeks after your initial condolence. In this second contact, don’t mention the death…just state that you’re checking on that bereaved. Your intentions will be understood.

Format
1. Use the Friendly format arrangement for Condolence Letters:

a. to the right side of the letter header place the return address
b. make two carriage returns
c. directly below the return address, place the date
d. make three carriage returns
e. do not include a reference line
f. begin your letter
g. indent the body paragraphs five spaces each
h. center the closing and signature so that the left-most character of each are justified to the center of the page when the paper is folded.

Wording
1. Write to the survivors, not the deceased.
2. Without saying anything derogatory, share a personal story of you and the deceased, if possible.
3. Do not attempt to reduce the grief of the bereaved by using clichés such as “…it will get better in time…,” “you’ll feel better soon..,” etc.
4. State your great sorrow in their loss, and, naturally offer to any help that you can provide.

Tone
1. Make your tone warm and personal.

Email
1. Never send a condolence letter via email.

Printing
1. Before printing, decide on what paper to use. For Condolence Letters, it is best to use high-grade card stock.
2. Print your letter and envelope on the same printer using the same font and an envelope that matches the stationery.

Signature
1. Make three carriage returns between the closing and your typed signature. Inside this space, sign your name for professional correspondence. For personal correspondence, there is no need for a typed signature. Simply, sign your name.
